A Writer That Grills, A Griller That Writes

From the time that fire was invented, it has become the focus of the community around it. Fire was the focal point of gatherings and get-togethers, creating a sense of unity and bonding for the individuals and surrounding community.

Through the invention of our modern fire controlling devices, such as chimineas, grills, portable fire pits, and self containing fire rings, we have taken this idea of gathering and civilized it. Fire brings a calmness, a sense of peace, as well as a bit of escapism, transporting us away from our day-to-day grind.

I also like to enjoy the true aroma of a wood fire anytime. There’s something to be said for having a wood fired grill smoking up the back yard while sipping on your favorite libation. It’s getting back to that calmness, that peaceful feeling, that escape from the daily rut that we sometimes put ourselves in. There’s nothing wrong with just enjoying a wood bonfire or campfire with good company and good stories.
